Descent of Tsiribihina River and Tsingy de Bemaraha : Between Sport and Nature
On the road to Antsirabe, the beautiful highland landscape is dotted with rice fields and traditional houses. Ambatolampy is the stronghold of the trades of the foundry and the forge for centuries. It is known for the dexterity of its craftsmanship in the manufacture of pot, it has been exported for years beyond national borders. Miandrivazo is the boat for the descent of the river Tsiribihina for rare birds, lemurs and crocodiles of the Nile. The Tsingy National Park of Bemaraha, UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990, is made up of small Tsingy and Tsingy, and features semi-arid landscapes decorated with baobabs. This atmosphere will be accentuated by the discovery of the endemic baobab species in Madagascar, especially the sacred Baobab and the Loving Baobabs. A beautiful sunset on the path of the baobabs will be immortalized by a photo shoot. Finally, before heading to the capital, a relaxing day at Kimony Beach and a visit to the city of Morondava will be on the agenda.
Itineraries
Day 1
ANTANANARIVO – ANTSIRABE
Departure to Antsirabe, the health resort of Madagascar. Crossing of the typical landscapes of the highlands strewed with rice fields and traditional houses.
Visit of a forge and the manufacturing of the “Gasy” Candy at Ambatolampy.
Free afternoon

Day 2
ANTSIRABE – MIANDRIVAZO
Departure to Miandrivazo after breakfast. Miandrivazo is the dock for the descent of Tsiribihina river. During the trip, you will have the opportunity to observe a semi-arid landscape which is a typical landscape of the West-South of Madagascar.

Day 3
MIANDRIVAZO – embarcadère pour LA DESCENTE DU FLEUVE TSIRIBIHINA
Beginning of the adventure for the descent of the Tsiribihina river. Along the river you will have the opportunity to observe different kinds of rare birds. A visit to a small fishing village will allow you to appreciate the warm welcome of the Malagasy people. At the end of the day, installation at the camp to appreciate the Sunset on a white sandbank.

Day 4
DESCENTE DU FLEUVE TSIRIBIHINA
Continuation of the descent. The huge waterfall and natural pool deserve a visit.

BEKOPAKA
End of the descent in the morning.
4X4 transfer to Belo Tsiribihina to reach the village of Bekopaka starting point to visit the Tsingy.

Day 6
Parc national de TSINGY DE BEMARAHA
Visit of the National Park of Tsingy de Bemaraha all day long: a national park world-heritage by UNESCO in 1990. Observation of Karst peaks scenery rich in flora and fauna: lemurs, birds, plante caducifoliée.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

BEKOPAKA
Day off. Activities according to customer choices

Day 8
BEKOPAKA – MORONDAVA
Departure to Morondava. A trip during which you will see the semi- arid landscape and the different species of baobab trees. It is also an opportunity to take pictures in front of Loving Baobab. Sunset at the Alley of baobabs late in the afternoon.

MORONDAVA
Relaxing and swimming at the beautiful beach of Kimony in Morondava .

MORONDAVA – ANTANANARIVO
Transfer at the airport of Morondava and flight to Antananarivo.
According to the flight schedule, discover the Capital and surrounding area, the Upper city, the Craft Market.
